Punching Techniques with ImpressArt: How to Use the 6mm Punch

Let's see how to use the 6mm punch produced by ImpressArt.

What you need:

• Ergo Handle Hammer
• 6mm ImpressArt Punch
• Bracelet or Tag to stamp

Step 1

Hold the punch firmly on the metal sheet. While applying pressure to the punch, hit it once with the hammer without applying too much force.

Step 2

Without moving the punch, shake it while tilting it slightly in a circular motion to capture all sides of the design. Before removing the punch, hit it again in the centre.

NOTE - Moving the punch between strikes can cause a double impression.

NOTE - This technique is known as “TILT & TAP”.
