Let's see how to set a stone on metal to embellish a medal or bracelet with ImpressArt products.

What you need:

Step 1

Position the stone setter firmly against the metal strip.

NOTE - Do not position the punch too close to the edge of the metal strip as it may cause the strip to protrude, distorting its shape.

Step 2

Strike with the hammer without applying too much force to create a circular indentation on the metal strip. This should be deep enough to accommodate the sides of the stone and allow its top to protrude.

NOTE - If the edge of the metal strip protrudes and deforms, finish with a file to recreate the shape of the strip as much as possible.

Step 3

Use a jewellery glue to attach the flat side of the stone inside the impression. Allow the glue to dry before wearing the jewellery.
