The Silver Accessories Contest
Established in Japan in 2000, the Silver Accessories Contest is one of the most important events for artists working with Art Clay Silver. Each year, artworks from around the world highlight the versatility and incredible creative potential of this material.
For the 2026 edition, the chosen theme is “Future”, and there are numerous competition categories: rings, accessories, silver quilling, origami, framed objects, as well as creations made using the refined mokume-gane and nerikomi techniques.
The first selection will take place on October 8, 2025. The artworks that pass this stage will be published in the contest’s official Booklet and exhibited at the Tokyo exhibition in January 2026. The jury will announce the winners on October 9, 2025, and Hobbyland will inform all participants of the results.
Silver Accessories Contest Awards
There are numerous prizes are up for grabs, from honorable and excellence mentions to the prestigious Grand Prix, which awards 500,000 yen (about €3,200) to the overall winner.
The 2023 edition saw renowned international artists triumph, confirming the Silver Accessories Contest as a benchmark for creativity and innovation in the world of Art Clay Silver.
How to apply for the contest with Hobbyland
As the official representatives of Art Clay in Italy, Hobbyland will take care of the collection, shipping and return of the competing works.
To register, you must download and fill out the application form, participation form and ID label, ensuring that each submitted artwork must have its own set of documents.
The registration fee is €70, which includes registration of a single artwork, shipping to Japan, return to the participant, and a copy of the official Competition Booklet. Payment must be made before shipping, so we invite you to contact us in advance at info@hobbyland.it to complete the process.
